Tray Cable

Tray cables are specifically made for use in petrochemical refineries, industrial control systems, intercom systems, traffic controls relay, power extensions and any other high power application that requires minimum signal interference.  They are also used in Class 1, Class 2 and Division 2 hazardous locations and are sunlight, heat and moisture resistant.  Installation can be in cable trays, air ducts, channels and conduits.

Cable trays are made to do exactly what the name suggests: they are trays designed specifically to hold cables in buildings.  They are only to be used for holding cables, and cannot be used for tubing or piping.

Cable trays can be found all throughout a building, in vertical or horizontal positions.  There must be adequate space surrounding the cable tray to allow for proper installation of cables and future maintenance or removal.

Any cables that are installed position must be properly tied down.  This must be done, not only to keep the cables in the trays, but also to insure proper separation between cables to limit electromagnetic interference (EMI).
